Welcome to Forest Home Township

Located in Antrim County, the Township is approximately 25 miles northeast of Traverse City, and is centrally located among the fifteen townships in the County.  Forest Home Township is an interior peninsula with 26.6 miles of shoreline and surrounded by numerous lakes and rivers on three sides.  Antrim County was first settled in 1849 near Elk Rapids and in 1871 Forest Home Township was organized by the Antrim County Board of Commissioners.

2025 Clean-up Schedule

Area “A” Thursday June 05, 2025, the portion of the Village of Bellaire within Forest Home Township.

Area “B” Monday, June 9, 2025, All of Forest Home Township North of Bellaire Highway (Co Rd. 620).

Area “C” Monday, June 16, 2025, All of Forest Home Township South of Bellaire Highway (Co. Rd. 620).

REMINDER: Excluded from pick up are: Tires, paint, oil, hazardous chemicals, yard waste, concrete, brick, any liquids, large amounts of shingles and household trash. Building materials such as lumber need to be cut to (5) feet or less. Antrim Road Commission

The Antrim County Road Commission (ACRC) will be completing rehabilitation work on both the Torch River Bridge and the Clam River Bridge this spring. Work will begin in early April on the Clam River Bridge and completed by mid May. Work will begin on the Torch River Bridge in mid April and completed by the end of June. Our contactor is Anlaan Corporation of Grand Haven and they will begin to mobilize in the area in a few weeks.
